It really is ...Thank you for your post rootdigger.

It really is interesting to learn about different parts of the country. To me there is no place like New England. I lived in a warm climate state for a couple of years and was so happy when I returned to New England where we truly enjoy four seasons during the year.

LucieLucie LeBlanc Consentinohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13480035657625949265noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4011504164207885278.post-69594520444344455552011-01-11T02:52:28.677-05:002011-01-11T02:52:28.677-05:00wow, that is a great review of Winter. I just find it so ...Thank you for your post Greta.

I just find it so interesting to think back on how we lived growing up. For us, potatoes, carrots and cabbage were always a staple and in warmer weather, lettuce, tomatoes and cucumbers. Of course when I was growing up, there were many farms in this area so those farms provided for our needs.

Best,

LucieLucie LeBlanc Consentinohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13480035657625949265noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4011504164207885278.post-54821030419746004022011-01-09T09:00:51.715-05:002011-01-09T09:00:51.715-05:00Your description of baked beans brought back memor...Your description of baked beans brought back memories! Even though we lived in warmer climes (Southern California and Texas), beans were a staple of our diet, probably because they didn't cost a lot. Now that I think of it, though, we did eat a lot more of them when it got colder.Greta Koehlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05429623811794360612noreply@blogger.com
