Her parents were Thomas Gaspard LeBlanc ( s/o Thomas Leblanc ) and Philomene Belliveau ( d/o Andre Simeon Belliveau and Reine Leblanc ).
Andre Belliveau was a direct descendant of Joseph / Pierre Belliveau of Pembroke fame; Reine Leblanc , directly descending from The Pembroke's Charlitt LeBlanc on her fathers side, Charles Leblanc ( 1814-1870 m. Marie Gauvin ).
I found Placide Gaudet's telling of The Pembroke to be fascinating , to say the least.
I've long known that my Great Grandfather, Joseph Mathurin ( Mack ) Surette , directly descended from Pierre Surette ( Surette's Island ). I had no idea, until reading about The Pembroke, that my great-grandmother's family history was just as impressive.
Ron Peavey
Atlanta,Ga.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07295276283847449110noreply@blogger.com
